Im having some serious internet connection problems again,so It might take a day or two to reply to your comments or questions you might have, thank you for your understanding.
It was about time I finally submitted a traditional piece,I have been drawing as long as I remember, and for those who didnt knew,I actually started here showcasing only my traditional art, until I discovered photomanipulation. Old watcher might remember some of my portraits from back then ^^ Anyway this is a recent work,a gift for my dear friend Ivana INFO ; Absolutely gorgeous Milo Ventimiglia (more known as Peter P. from Heroes) I tried to make him as realistic as I could,I changed his face tons of time until I finally got it right. Used ; -extremely rough Hammer textured paper (A4). I usually use that for watercolors but I didnt have anything else at the time -2H, HB, H, 2B,3B,6B pencils -Eraser,eraser pencil for highlights and white gel pen for really light highlights (like the eye reflection) -Tissues and q-tips for blening -Photoshop for editing after scanning. My scanner sucks big time so i need to adjust the contrast and brightness in ps. I also changed the background from gray to almost black, since I wanted to give the piece more contrast.Used black soft round brush and burn tool for that. Since some hair highlights (ends) were lost when darkening the back I used dodge tool to make them stand out again. Sign added digitally too. -Reference shot - actually from a magazine - but I found it online eventually [link] |
